Chilli Cheese This Week!
Something For The Weekend II

Top Chef Simon Rimmer and the team at BBC Two's Something For The Weekend were so impressed with the Little Green Men's Chorley Chilli Cheddar Cheese (the Habanero Chili Cheese that is) which Chilli Rich sent them the other week ....they requested it again!

Simon and Paddy McGuinness had a right royal laugh whilst gobbling our most excellent chilli cheese on Sunday  on BBC2

Jamie Oliver's Little Green Men
Written by A Little Green Man

ImageThis is what Jamie Oliver's say about Chilli Rich the Little Green Chili Man from Chorley:

"This guy is a friend of mine.......He grows tons of chillies every week in his greenhouses in Chorley, and travels all over the country flogging them at streetmarkets and food fairs.

It's all about showing people what they CAN have, not what they can't!!

......The point of the series is to show people that these things exist, that if enough people ask their local store - wherever it is - they will stock them, failing that there are all sorts of markets and mail order companies that can get you the produce, or you could always grow it yourself! Thats why there's always a bit about growing your own veg in each show, and 4 pages of stockists, markets, mail order companies and seed suppliers at the back of the book."

What does Chilli Rich say?.... "They really care about local producers and the scheme they have at Fifteen.

Jamie Oliver’s is just round the corner from Whitecross Street Market, which is where they found me; we talked at length about my chilli products and what I do. They loved the Chilli Beer and other products, they told me who they were, got invited for a drinky afterwards in probably the best real alehouse in London - what a find! …and what great people they associate with, I have some good friends in London and they should know I appreciate it”

... right back atcha baby - we love you too ;-)
