Southport Flower Show II
Written by A Little Green Man

Chilli Rich had a wail of a time at Southport….

Irish Connection-Diarmuid Gavin

The Irish Connection
Chilli Rich couldn’t resist a bit of banter with ‘The Maverick’ of the gardening world and offered Diarmuid Gavin a bit of a chilli challenge with the Pimientos de Padron.

TV & BBC Local Radio
Chilli Rich loves the Beeb and ended up on BBC1 again. Snelly also invited Chilli Rich on his morning radio show and they had a wild chilli tasting session, culminating in the world’s hottest chilli – The Dorset Naga, and recorded a hilarious video feed which can be seen on BBC Radio Merseyside’s website. Game's Afoot-Paul Crone TV
Radio Meets TV
Chilli Rich threw down the gauntlet for Granada TV’s Paul Crone and in association with Dune FM they launched into a chilli eating competition.

Newspaper & Magazine Features
Our friends at the Lancashire Evening Post ran an article on Chilli Rich and Lancashire Magazine dropped by and were so impressed they commissioned an article on the spot – photography to follow soon.

The Official Nod
The Trustees of Southport Flower Show floated by and congratulated Rich on his performance and showing, and were very keen for him to return and defend his title next year.

Something Fishy
All the media attention and prize winning clearly affected Rich as he chatted to Rick Stein for some considerable time before realising who he was!

And it looks like Chilli Rich bumped into some long lost relatives too….

The Verdict
Southport Flower Show suffered a Chilli Overdose and turned out a roaring success.... well done Rich - Well Done!

Lancashire Tourism NEC

Made-up in Lancashire
The Peter Kay-esque quality in the accent is more than a hint to the heritage of all things Little and Green.

Supporting The County
Getting Back t’Roots

The Little Green Man is Lancashire born and bred ….and proud of it, and, he was honoured to be asked to support Lancashire Tourism at the NEC. Rich is great supporter of his county and a number of other projects to boot, and he pulled out all the stops for them – the Lancashire stand was by far the most popular, and Chilli Rich is working closely with them to try and bring a Little Green Something to you next year.

A History
The Little Green Family have lived in the same small English rural village on the edge of the Lancashire moors for centuries: their ancestry is blacksmithing, ironworking and stonemasonry, and they helped build the village they call home. The family name can still be seen in stonework in the village, alas, much of the ironwork was melted down during the wars for arms.

The Backyard
Chilli Rich would dearly love to create an attraction with all the associated jobs, regeneration and local economic multipliers. Chilli Rich is not afraid of challenges, and Lancashire Tourism are the best:
  • his heart says build it in your hometown
  • his head says go where they want to help you…..

…..Putting Out The Call
Are you a local councillor or vibrant authority that would welcome a headline grabbing PR Powerhouse of a Forward Thinking and Expanding Company, that positively encourages giving something back to the community, to create Chilli HQ as a Visitor Attraction in your area? If so ….get in touch and tell us what’s on offer.
